tanley and Amy Foster opened Chatham in 1934. With their seven children, they hung on through the depression and World War ll, and when Montego Bay got on the tourist map in the 50s their hard struggle was rewarded with a stream of repeat visitors who came for the Jamaican sun and sand and came back for the warm welcome.
